The Café is promoting the war on food waste and teaching the community about the high volume of quality food being wasted in our community.

Nellies Nook
In 2017 AYLA Inc. launched our eco-project "Ban-The-Bag" and in 2019 it developed into so much more. Members of the community sew from home or come together at DION's Market Place sewing and craft room called Nellie’s Nook to create, sew and socialize. We pride ourselves in providing a high-quality product to whomever is receiving the goods. AYLA Inc. volunteers work together to brainstorm to recycle clothing, linen, towels, bed sheets, etc. and turn them into sustainable household items and fashion wear that people can purchase to support AYLA Inc.'s emergency relief services. Among Nellie's Nook’s proudest achievements are making the front page of the Gazette, setting up stalls at fetes and fairs across our community, and displaying their latest sustainable fashions at the Cockburn Gateways VIP Lifestyle catwalk.

Our aim is to provide training and workplace experience for these individuals to gain future full-time or permanent part-time employment.
CONS Gardens
CON is a 5-acre property situated in a semi-rural location. 0.5 acres of the grounds are being created into pleasant gardens for the residents of Copelands Accommodation to relax, socialize and enjoy. 4.5 acres are working nurseries, animal rescue and a touch therapy center for the community to enjoy and be a part of. CON nurseries provide fresh food to Copelands Accommodations, Let Everyone Eat No-Cost Food Centre, You Matter Hampers and our Patience Café.
We have 5 stages forecast for this site, eventually becoming an environmental and eco-friendly garden that will be sustainable, with all produce either distributed or regrown.
Animals are rescued and nurtured back to health, helping the volunteers and residents of Copelands gain empathy and responsibility whilst caring for the animals.
The aim of the project is to promote and educate our community about simple gardening techniques, healthily life choices, produce education options and creating more opportunities for individuals and families of all ages of our community to get involved, teach, learn and volunteer.
