You Matter Hampers are an emergency food relief service providing to the less fortunate in the community who are experiencing hardship and food insecurity 7 days a week. From 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020 AYLA Inc. aided the community with 2770 food hampers valued at over $140,000. Anyone in need can access our services. The need for emergency food relief increased 97% and within the first quarter of 2020 due to COVID-19. Due to the economic situation in Australia, an increase of 12-25% is expected by 2021.

AYLA Inc. distributes Special Occasion Hampers to individuals and families struggling with food and gifts during Christmas, birthdays, or funerals. It is important for everyone to have events to look forward to and celebrate, no matter how difficult situations may be. AYLA Inc. believes that all deserve these moments and are continuously seeking donations from our community to support this wonderful drive.

You Matter Clothing/Furniture is an emergency relief service for disadvantaged members of the community. From 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020, AYLA Inc. aided the community with over 1300 items to the value of over $24,000. AYLA Inc. receives referrals from individuals and various services including Department of Communities, The Department of Justice, The Department of Education, all hospitals within the metropolitan area, and other local service providers. AYLA Inc. provides AYLA Inc. cash, which are vouchers for the less fortunate to purchase necessary items with integrity at DION Charity Market Place.

Educational tools can be financially challenging for families on a limited income. AYLA Inc. aims to ensure that children/students from these families do not feel singled out due to not having basic school essentials. AYLA Inc. continues to distribute Back to School Packs, helping to reduce the cost of the start of school/TAFE/university for many families within our community. All levels of education are able to access our service including referrals from Department of Communities, Department of Education, Department of Justice, and other local service providers. Since 2015, we have been providing an ever-increasing number of Back to School packs, and in 2020, AYLA Inc. distributed over 230 Back to School Packs worth over $8000.
